I've never been into Woo-Woo spiritual BS. Butttt.. this app is highly underrated. I've hit several lows this past year and a friend recommended me this app has I had seen great improvements in her. I started skeptically but about a week into listening just the 21 Days of Calm and the daily calm I find myself reaching for this app to start my day. The peace remains throughout the day but best yet is I'm starting to find my authentic voice/identity (something I thought I'd figured out in my teens). This self discovery is so adventurous and liberating. Thank you Calm. You have a subscriber for life.
It has helped with my anxiety a lot. Love the feeling of slowing my thoughts down and just relax! After a few weeks of regular practise you get better and more focused. Loved having a taster of the sleep stories, they make me drift off like an angel, however i feel the fee for advanced Calm app is a bit pricey.
Tamara Levitt's gentle voice and profound insights have brought a transformative acuity to my days. The quotes she cites in the Daily Calm sessions along with her personal stories always cause me to smile, or at least connect with my emotions in a surprising way. This app has helped me with my anxiety more than I can possibly express in a short review.
Great app for practicing meditation. Perhaps a little less talking, sometimes it can be preachy while my brain is trying to relax. It also gives these opinions as if they were pure truths, which can in turn be seen as a means of conditioning people into thinking the way it is recommended by the speaker. In addition, who writes the scripts and observations mentioned during the guidance? Can we also get a male guided voice? Are these trained psychologists? It would be nice to know. Either way, a very helpful app.
This app is amazing. I absolutely love it! It's helped so much when I'm so stressed, not knowing what to do with myself. It just calms me down even with those first breaths before you get ready to do the meditation. The sleep stories has been my saving grace. When my husband goes away on business, I can't sleep without him silly I know. So the stories are so helpful and it does not take long before I drift of to sleep and feel very refreshed in the morning.
The only meditation app you will ever need. It has something for every mood. I can use guided or unguided meditation, just use sounds or sounds with music. I also enjoy the sleep stories. The only thing that would make this app even better; have an unguided, time meditation that does not have a bell sound when time is up. Just let it count down and end. When I use the current unguided, timed meditation I get startled when the bell goes off. Kind of undoes the benefit of my calm state. Other than that this app is amazing.
