About this app

A web browser built for the television — and for the way you actually sit in front of one.

Most TV browsers hand you a D-pad and ask you to hop a highlight box from link to link. AX TV Browser gives you a cursor instead. Point, click, scroll — the way the web was designed to be used.

YOUR PHONE IS THE MOUSE
Open AX: Remote for Android TV on your phone, tap the AX: TV Browser tile, and your phone becomes a trackpad for the big screen. Swipe to move the pointer. Tap to click. Two fingers to scroll. And when a page wants text, you type on your phone's keyboard instead of pecking letters out of an on-screen grid.

Your phone and TV find each other on your Wi-Fi by themselves. Nothing to type in, no codes to copy, no account to create.

No phone to hand? The TV remote still drives the pointer on its own.

BUILT FOR THE TEN-FOOT VIEW
Type sized to be read from the sofa, not from a desk. A dark interface that suits a dim room. The address bar slides away as you scroll, so the page gets the whole screen, and comes back the moment you scroll up.

WHAT YOU GET
• Tabs, with a switcher you can reach from anywhere
• Search or type an address from one bar
• Desktop mode, for sites that hide their good version from phones
• Ad and tracker blocking as pages load
• A home screen you can point at instead of retyping the same addresses

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-in. Nothing about your browsing leaves your home — the browser runs on your TV and talks only to your phone, over your own Wi-Fi.

REQUIREMENTS
An Android TV or Google TV device. Phone control needs AX: Remote for Android TV installed on a phone connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

GOOD TO KNOW
Google blocks account sign-in inside apps that embed a browser, so signing in to Google services from here will not work. For YouTube and other Google apps, use the TV app itself, or the sign-in-with-a-code flow at google.com/device.
Browse the web on your TV with a real mouse pointer, driven by your phone.

What’s new

First release of AX TV Browser.

Your phone becomes the touchpad: drag to move, tap to click, type and watch it land on the TV. The remote works too.

Tabs, bookmarks, history, ad blocking, and a download manager that resumes — with every file going to the TV or straight to your phone.
