About this app

An unofficial CELPIP practice app published by AZSoft. It does not represent any government body or testing organisation. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises, the University of British Columbia, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or the Government of Canada. CELPIP is a registered trademark of Paragon Testing Enterprises.

CELPIP-General is one of the English tests IRCC accepts for permanent residence and citizenship applications. It is taken in one computer-delivered sitting: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, in under three hours. Results are reported as CELPIP Levels, which map to the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) that IRCC uses.

HOW THE MOCK EXAMS ARE TIMED

Listening and Reading are published as ranges (46-55 and 43-56 minutes). The app uses the upper bound of each, so a mock is never tighter than the real sitting. With Writing at 53 minutes and Speaking at 15, a full mock runs 179 minutes — which matches the guidebook's "under 3 hours in one sitting".

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO

Paragon publishes the correspondence between CELPIP Levels, CLB and the CEFR, but it does not publish a table converting a number of correct answers into a CELPIP Level — the real test is scored against Paragon's own rubric. So this app does not convert your practice accuracy into a CELPIP Level. It reports what it can actually measure: your accuracy per skill, per band and per mock, and which topics you are weakest on. An app that turned "78% correct" into "CELPIP 9" would be inventing an official-looking number.
