Bandcamp is great, But this app is not ideal. Have to use the desktop site to download. Often songs won't start playing even when I'm next to my WiFi hub. Love having easy access to new music on the go, and the community spirit within the different genres of music within Bandcamp can be felt. I still use it all the time. I don't think a day goes by when I don't hit the wishlist icon at least a few times.
It is a very decent app. Nothing much going on, except saving albums as wishlist is nice. I don't understand why I can't play some music on repeat which are hilariously expensive but on chrome I can? Why would I need an app when the site works better? Please fix this issue and make the playback seamless and unrestricted on this app. This could be a nice music streaming app for exclusive music but it is missing a lot more features.
Can't download anymore as the app insists you eat your data up and stream everything. We'll that doesn't work in a subway now, does it? App regularly starts songs off in the middle and cuts them off early. If Sunn O))) was easy to get on another site I would never use Bandcamp. Can't express my dislike of this app enough.
The site itself is great for providing indie artists and labels with a platform to sell their creations with larger profit margins than iTunes and likes. But the app itself lacks a lot of features of similar apps like Spotify or Tidal. In example, it's impossible to create playlists and play through the albums you purchased. It lacks even the most basic eq options and the last update is a real CPU hog for my Meizu Note3.
Ok I'm not sure how this app has such good reviews. The app was completely revamped yet still there is no easy way to download my purchases via the app. If there was ONE thing this app could do I would think it would be this. Also why is there no Chromecast support? Very odd. Navigation is also very confusing. I buy an album and then it still gives me the option in the app to pay for it. Weak weak sauce.
I think this App is great, have used bandcamp for years to get my favourite music. The only gripe I have is the lack of a "Download to device" button. I know that the app downloads music to cache when its listened to so that it can be listened to offline later on, would be great if this could be triggered through a button too instead of having to listen to the music just to get an offline copy. I live in a place with limited network signal so using the app to listen away from home is often a no go
