The Bandcamp app lets you explore a vast catalog of music by artists from every corner of the globe, allows you to directly support the artists you love by buying their music and merch, and lets you instantly listen to the music you've purchased, whether you're online or offline.

Ratings and reviews

The app is fine. It looks great and displays albums pretty well. However, there has been an issue plaguing Bandcamp for several years that has never been resolved. Tracks will just stop playing audio, but the timeline will keep moving forward. It doesn't matter if my tracks are downloaded or over cellular or Wi-Fi. This app has a playback issue that they have seemingly refused to fix. I'm going to keep this review one star until they do something about it.

App user for over 6 years, >3k items in my collection. Great way to discover artists and labels. But no way to organize my items, search results are random & incomplete. I don't receive notifications unless the app is running regardless of phone settings. Multiple-item & discography purchases from a single artist or label need to be done on the browser site. Cannot zoom in on app screens, search non-Latin alphabet titles, or share playlists. Much prefer website for downloading.

updated review: at some point between March and April, Chromecast functionality ceased to be. I was listening through my Chromecast, disconnected to run an errand, tried to reconnect when I came back, the app stalled and then... The option was gone and never came back. Rebooting the app, phone, and the Chromecast do nothing. The Chromecast menu in the app settings is COMPLETELY GONE too. I've emailed bandcamp about the issue, and they are aware, but the fix has been repeatedly delayed
