Some improvements that will make it better: 1.A place too see notifications together. Music Feed shows new releases but it cannot really replace notifications. 2.When viewing an album, clicking the uploader name in About section should lead to uploader page. 3.It would be better if album descriptions were smaller with "show more" button. 4.Interface is not clean. Too much information, hard to navigate. 5.Bandcamp links in browser should redirect to the app.
Great app for the basic function of listening to music on your phone. Loses stars as it seems to not support the AudioEffects class - I can't EQ the output like I can with other apps.... ultimately means the music sounds less than best on my crappy earphones! Would be good to see this implementation on the next update.
It's up there with Sound cloud when it comes to finding new music. The streaming feature isn't great though. I try to play albums I buy, and it either stops after a few tracks or even skips them. A repeat feature for purchased music would be great.
Streams music without a problem. However you can't download music to listen to offline. The app does cache music but doesn't allow you to tell it "always keep this album on my device". If it weren't for this it'd be 5 stars. Would love to be able to swipe away the notification when the music is paused (ala Google Play Music app), but it's a minor problem compared to not being able to download my music.
The app doesn't allow you to download music easily, it will only download the music you play and you can't store music on an SD card. No playlist functions which wouldn't be so bad if you could actually download the files like on the website so you could use an actual music player. It's pretty much an app version of the site but you can't download your music properly.
Thirty Helens agree that the newest Bandcamp app is terrific. A new messages tab unifies communications from any artists you follow or subscribe to, and the music feed smartly aggregates new releases with the activity of the fans and genres you follow. We’ve also revamped the now playing controls, made the collection sort controls more noticeable (did you even know we had those?), and added new settings to give you total control over the things you receive push notifications and emails about.
