About this app

Beachable gives you go/no-go ocean conditions for surfing, beaching, diving, and fishing based on real-time tide, wave, wind, weather, and water data at your home location.

The app analyzes current and forecast conditions against the requirements for each activity and tells you whether conditions are good, marginal, or not worth it, along with when conditions are expected to improve.

Surfing:
Wave height, swell period, swell direction, and wind direction are combined to score surf conditions at spots near your home location.

Subscription:
Beachable Pro is available as an annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Google Play account upon purchase confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.

Permissions:

Location:
Beachable requests approximate location access to find nearby spots and provide forecasts for your home area. Location permission is optional. You can skip it during onboarding and set a location manually at any time.

Notifications:
Notification permission is optional and is only requested if you choose to enable alerts.

What’s new

Added:
- Settings now has a Privacy section where you can turn off usage and crash reporting.
- The privacy policy explains your data rights and how to exercise them.

Fixed:
- Surf heights read as a tighter range, "2-3ft" instead of "2-5ft", so a forecast says what it means.
- The daily digest notification now actually arrives. It had never been able to send.
- Your alerts no longer disappear when the app reinstalls. They follow the device instead of being stranded.
