GROL Prep is study software for the FCC commercial radio operator examinations — the General Radiotelephone Operator License that avionics and marine electronics technicians need, the GMDSS operator and maintainer licences, the Ship Radar Endorsement and the Marine Radio Operator Permit. It contains every question in the FCC's published question pools, reproduced exactly, with every figure.

THE POOLS
• Element 1 — Basic Radio Law and Operating Practice (MROP): 144 questions. Free forever.
• Element 3 — General Radiotelephone (GROL): 600 questions in 100 key topics, with the 17 figures.
• Element 8 — Ship Radar Techniques: 300 questions, with the 12 figures.
• Element 7 — GMDSS Radio Operating Practices: 600 questions.
• Element 7R — Restricted GMDSS: 300 questions.
• Element 9 — GMDSS Radio Maintenance: 300 questions.
• Element 6 — Advanced Radiotelegraph: 615 questions.
The approval date of every pool is shown on its page and under Settings, with the FCC link and the SHA-256 of the source document.

STUDY THE WAY THE EXAM IS BUILT
• Study by element or by key topic. Answer, see the right answer at once, move on.
• Spaced repetition: what you miss comes back tomorrow; what you know comes back later. A Due tab collects it.
• Flashcards for every pool.
• Practice exams that mirror the real paper: the real number of questions, one drawn from each key topic exactly as the examiners do, the real passing score, a timer, and no feedback until the end — then a review of every missed question with your answer beside the right one.
