Somebody's parent is keeping score on a napkin. This is that, but readable from the bleachers.
Tap a team to score. The number is enormous on purpose — the whole point is that the bench, the bleachers and the scorer's table can all read it at a glance without asking.
SPORTS ARE PRESETS, NOT SEPARATE APPS
Pick basketball and you get +2 and +3 buttons, team fouls, five timeouts and a 12-minute quarter. Pick volleyball and the same screen counts sets, gives each side two timeouts, tracks who is serving and offers a side switch. Pick "just counting" and it is two numbers and nothing else — for whatever the kids invented in the driveway.
Change the sport mid-game if you picked wrong — your teams and the score come with you.

PRIVACY
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers. The score stays on your device unless you turn on live sharing, and a shared game is deleted twelve hours after the last change.

What’s new
Reconnecting is much more dependable now. When you switch apps, reopen Scoreboard, or your phone hops between Wi-Fi and cellular, a stuck connection attempt no longer hangs. It gives up quickly and tries again, so live scoring picks back up on its own.
