I used to love this app and then the fees grew astronomically. I would start an order look at the cart to see if I had reached the threshold and see that 2 items that totalled $16 would be costing me an up charge of an additional $7. Then when I had been set to finish my order something that would cost at most $30 was now close to $46 with the tacked on fees this is insane and the app should be upfront with those fees.

I NEVER want pickup. The app automatically selects "pickup" instead of "delivery" whenever I order. If I'm tired/distracted & don't remember this incredibly inconvenient fact, I'm stuck leaving the house to go get food I wouldn't have even ordered in the first place if I'd known I'd have to go get it. I also tipped even though the tip should go to ME if I'm picking up my own food. Most people who order food through an app want delivery; that should be the first, automatically selected option.

I placed an order through beyond menu at 5:24pm and was emailed with a delivery estimate of 5:54pm. By 7:24 a driver from door dash texted me saying I need to cancel my order because they couldn't pick up my order. By 7:32 I had found a ride to get to the restaurant to pick up my own food. I don't think I'll be using this application again. I have also had bad experiences with doordash previously. If beyond would hire their own drivers, it may be worth it. Until then, I'll say it's a bad option
