Ratings and reviews

Great idea, good app, still has a long ways to go. The recipes auto populated in the app are hit and miss. Sometimes they load beautifully into the app, populating ingredient lists properly, sometimes a simple comma or dash can trip it up. Some recipes don't listen the ingredients properly, so you need to review them first and make sure things match. The good thing is, if you subscribe you can copy any recipe and edit it to your liking or add your own. The grocery list has stopped functioning.

I have been using this app for years and love it for the most part. It definitely has some glitches - the meal planner calendar (in app) especially. Sometimes it won't refresh until you restart. Half of the week is current and the second half shows my plan from Aug. I have to go to the calendar and select the day to get it to show. The recipe importer is a great feature, but when you have to do the quick import, all of the fields are stacked on top of each other. Out of the app, it works fine.

I have been using BigOven for years now and can't imagine my life without it. Highly recommended, especially if you want an easy way to organize and plan your weekly menu. I especially appreciate the multi screen...I use desktop for organizing recipes and weekly menu planning, mobile for my grocery list and in the kitchen. Love this service!
