About this app

“pharma.sensor” supports you together with your doctor in choosing safe and
efficient medication.
People metabolize drugs individually. How drugs are processed also depends on DNA variants.
“pharma.sensor” shows which genes are important for the safe effect of a
medication and whether special recommendations should be followed for
detected DNA variants.
The information is based on the official recommendations of the expert group DPWG (Royal Dutch Association for the Advancement of Pharmacy -
Pharmacogenetics Working Group).
Drugs can be searched for by entering the name of the drug or active ingredient, the pharmaceutical central number (PZN) or by scanning the barcode on the medicine pack.
The app also provides basic knowledge about genes, DNA variants, proteins and the effects of medicines.
Use the information together with your doctor to make better, evidence-based
decisions about medication therapy.
