Use the barcode scanner to check available product information and get a clear PASS, CHECK or AVOID result. If barcode data is missing or incomplete, use the ingredient scanner to photograph the ingredients list or nutrition label.

Scan a food barcode to retrieve available product information. BiteOrNot checks the ingredients and nutrition data using clear, rule-based checks based on your profile.

When a product is not found or its information is incomplete, scan the food label instead. The app can extract information from ingredient lists and nutrition tables so you can still check the product.

Shopping abroad or reading a label in another language? BiteOrNot can translate and normalize available ingredient information into English, helping you understand unfamiliar food packaging.

You can also check whether available product information matches a vegan or vegetarian diet. Missing or unclear information produces CHECK rather than an unsafe PASS.
