BlockP is a porn blocker that uses on-device AI to detect and block explicit content in real time — across browsers, apps, and social media feeds.
How the AI works
Most porn blockers maintain a list of known adult domains and block access to those URLs. BlockP uses a different approach: an AI model analyses visual content directly on your device and blocks explicit material regardless of the domain it appears on. This means BlockP blocks adult content on platforms that URL-list blockers cannot reach — including image search results, social media posts, and video thumbnails.
What BlockP blocks
— Adult websites and explicit domains — blocked at both the network level (VPN) and the content level (AI)
— Explicit images and video thumbnails detected in browsers, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, and other apps
— Keyword-triggered content — configurable list of terms that trigger a block when detected on screen
— Newly installed browsers and apps — auto-detected and blocked to prevent bypass attempts
— Search engine adult results — SafeSearch enforced on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and YouTube
Accountability features
— Partner notification — a designated contact receives an alert if the app is uninstalled
— Password protection — settings changes require approval from the accountability partner
— TimeDelay — a configurable delay is applied before any setting can be modified, preventing impulsive changes

Focus and productivity tools
— App blocker — block individual apps (YouTube, Instagram, Telegram, or others) on a schedule or immediately
— Focus Mode — during active sessions, only user-selected apps are permitted; all others are blocked
— Custom redirects — blocked pages can redirect to a URL of your choice
Free and Premium tiers
The free tier includes AI content blocking, website and app blocking, SafeSearch enforcement, and partner notifications. Premium adds Advanced Focus Mode, TimeDelay accountability, and priority support.
Data and privacy
AI content analysis runs entirely on-device. No screen content, browsing history, or detection events are transmitted to external servers. Permissions used by BlockP:
— Accessibility Service — detects and blocks content across browsers and apps in real time
— VPN Service (optional) — network-level filtering to block domains across all browsers, including private browsing modes
— System Alert Window — displays the block overlay when restricted content is detected
— Device Administrator — prevents uninstallation without accountability partner approval

the AI is way too aggressive. most of the time I'm not even sure what triggers the block. I had it block anything from close ups of hands in a YouTube thumbnail, to people in shorts. I don't know what model they're using, but it's not very precise. also, the app absolutely shreds my battery on s24u. it's the most draining app by a factor of 2 at least, sometimes 3. hopefully this gets resolved. I'm torn on the AI thing. I guess I can see it can be useful, but right now it's a bit of a PITA

Just purchased the subscription a few days ago. I had questions and contacted customer support, they replied quickly and answered all of my questions. The app, even before the subscription, has been helping me for quite awhile. It is easy to navigate through and is very effective in blocking content and websites. I don't normally write reviews, however this app does an excellent job, and judging by other porn-blocking apps, it is definitely the more affordable choice.

The app works and I like that one can use most (not all) premium features for three days, but it is counter intuitive that the only way to reach out to them is through the apps I'm trying to avoid (like Reddit and X). The VPN totally stops my device from browsing, and the AI features are really just advertising – it's really nonexistent. Altogether, it's a 5/10
