About this app

InRecint is an app for people who share a place. You post in your area, you see what's happening in your area, and you meet the people who are nearby.

It's not a network for collecting followers. It's for finding out there's a market on Sunday, that someone is giving away a bookshelf, that a walk is being organized for seven.


NOTHING STAYS FOREVER

Every post is born with an expiration date and disappears on its own. A moment lasts three days. A question, seven. A recommendation, thirty.

There's no archive, no history, nothing to scroll back through from two years ago. What you see is what's happening, because it's the only thing left. Every card tells you how long it has.


YOUR AREA IS YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Everything you post stays anchored there, and what you see comes from there: about ten kilometers around you, not the whole city and not the world.

You can look at another area before you travel, but you always post where you are. That way nobody fills a neighborhood from the other end of the country.


SIXTEEN WAYS TO SAY SOMETHING

It's not an empty text box. You choose what kind of thing you're posting, and that defines how long it lives and who should see it: moments, questions for the area, events, language exchange, shared rides, giveaways, searches, sales, place recommendations and lodging.


FROM POSTING TO MEETING

A plan is a concrete invitation: a place, a time, a meeting point. Anyone who wants to joins in, and a group chat opens with the people going.

You can require a minimum number of people. If the plan needs four and two hours before the time there are only two, it cancels itself and everyone is notified. Nobody leaves home to find out only two showed up.


THE AREA IS BUILT BY A FEW

If you're the first person to post in your area, you're recorded as its founder, and your post lasts sixty days instead of seven.

After that the area starts to have a life of its own: it keeps a streak if there's activity, and each week it's compared with a single neighboring area. There's no leaderboard and no podium, and you're never told your neighborhood is doing badly.


SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

A plan built for your area with real places, adjusted to today's weather. A guessing game with a photo of a place in your neighborhood. Stories that last twenty-four hours and are only visible nearby.


NOBODY CAN MESSAGE YOU OUT OF NOWHERE

To start a conversation you send a request: you choose a reason and can add a short note. The chat only exists once the other person accepts.

And there's nowhere to look for people. There's no directory and no profile search: you reach someone's profile only through something they posted. Conversations start from content, not from a face.


WHAT INRECINT IS NOT

It's not a dating app, and not because of a clause: because of how it's built. There are no profiles to browse, no people search, you can't write to anyone without being accepted, and none of the reasons for requesting a conversation are romantic.

It's for adults eighteen and over only.

Posts store an approximate location, rounded to about a hundred meters. When someone is very close, the app says "nearby" instead of a distance, because an exact number would be both false and dangerous.

Text and images are reviewed automatically before they appear. You can block someone and you disappear from each other, and report content or people.


FOR HOTELS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES

Hotels get their own panel to post activities and offers, receive guest requests and see reviews. Local businesses post their catalog, receive orders and reviews.
