Glasbruk is a colour-sorting puzzle that tells you the truth.
A glass hut at night. Crucibles of molten glass stand in front of the furnace, each holding layers of melt in mixed colours. Tap a crucible to lift it, tap another to pour. Glass only lands on the same colour, or in an empty vessel. Gather every colour whole and the hut is sorted: the glass goes back into the furnace, and the piece you earned comes out of the fire and onto your shelf.
EVERY LEVEL CAN BE SOLVED
Before a level is shown to you it has been solved by the game itself. Not "usually solvable" - solved, all the way through, every time. There are no mystery layers, no hidden colours and no dead deals. If you are stuck, it is a puzzle, not a trick.
EVERY LEVEL SHOWS PAR
Par is the fewest pours the level can be done in - worked out on your own device from the exact deal you are looking at. Match it and you have played the level perfectly: three stars, and the glass comes out clear. Stars are earned by pouring well and by nothing else. There is no booster, no hint and no purchase that will get you one.
UNDO IS FREE
Take back as many pours as you like. The result shows how many you took back, and a level finished with no undos is a level to be proud of. No timer. No move limit. No energy meter, no lives, no hints for sale.
THE GLASS REMEMBERS HOW YOU PLAYED
Every sorted hut is blown into one piece, and the piece wears the sort. Match par and it comes out clear, with a polish across it. A few pours too many and it is plain glass. Many, and it comes out raw: a duller surface, seed bubbles, the streaks left when the melt was never worked even. Raw glass is not a failure. You still made it, and it still stands on the shelf.
A level keeps one piece for ever. Go back to any level you have played - from the shelf, or straight from the result - and sort it better, and the finer piece replaces the one standing there. A worse round changes nothing. There is no way to farm an easy level for credit, only to do it properly.
THE HYTTLAG
A glass works had ranks, and so do you. Your stars add up through nine of them, from Carrier-in, who brings the glass to the furnace, to Master of the hut, who answers for all of it - and past the top it keeps going. Every rank you earn hangs a struck medal on the brick above the furnace, iron through bronze to brass, so you can see how far you have come without leaving the hut.
A LADDER THAT KEEPS RISING
Three colours to begin with, then more, then ladles - small vessels that can only hold a little - then deeper crucibles with five layers each. Past the first act the puzzles keep getting deeper, level after level, with no last level.
TODAY'S HUT
One deal a day, the same for everyone who opens it, with its own par. Play it as many times as you like; only your best count for the day is kept. Share the result as a small picture of your pours - it never gives away the deal, so it spoils nothing for the next person.
