About this app

Breathe First helps you create a mindful pause before opening selected apps.

Choose the apps where you want a short breathing reset, then let Breathe First guide you through a calm pause before you continue.

The app is designed for intentional use, not harsh blocking. You stay in control: choose your apps, choose your pause style, adjust the pause length, and turn Automatic Pauses off at any time.

How it works:
1. Pick the apps where you want a mindful pause.
2. Choose your pause length: Adaptive pauses that start short and gently adjust if you keep reopening the same app within an hour, or a fixed 5, 15, 30, or 60-second reset.
3. Set a per-app cooldown so the same app is not paused again too soon.
4. When you open one of your selected apps, Breathe First shows a breathing reset.
5. Complete the reset, then decide whether to continue or step away.

Accessibility permission disclosure:
Breathe First uses the Android AccessibilityService API for its Automatic Pauses feature. This permission is optional and fully under your control.

The AccessibilityService API is used only to detect when one of the apps you personally selected in Breathe First is opened. When a selected app is opened, Breathe First shows a mindful breathing reset screen before you continue.

Breathe First does not use AccessibilityService to read screen content, capture keystrokes, collect passwords, monitor private messages or notifications, change device settings, prevent app uninstall, disable other apps, or collect data for advertising.

You enable the permission yourself, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility → Breathe First.

Privacy:
Breathe First works on-device. No account is required. No ads, no analytics, no cloud sync, and no personal data selling.
