Brow Tine is a deer hunting map built for one state and built properly: New Hampshire.
THE MAP AND THE RULES ARE FREE, AND NEED NO ACCOUNT
A dead server should never lock a hunter out of the map he is standing on. The topographic and satellite basemap, public land, and the safety layers all work without signing in.
THE LAW, ON THE GROUND UNDER YOUR FEET
56 weapon restriction areas and all 24 deer units, resolved from the exact point you tap rather than the middle of a property. Restrictions are never flattened together: "no rifle" and "archery only" are different rules, and telling you the wrong one could put you afield with a weapon you may not carry. Every card shows the data vintage and defers to the current Hunting Digest.
WHO OWNS THE GROUND
617,124 New Hampshire property boundaries with owner names on about 97 percent of them, statewide, from NH GRANIT. Tap a parcel and the owner is already there, with no second lookup and no signal needed if you downloaded the area. A repeated parcel is flagged as multiple owners rather than printing a stranger's name over a building. Brow Tine does not tell you whether you may hunt a parcel, because that data does not exist: it tells you whose door to knock on.
PUBLIC AND HUNTABLE LAND
8,087 public land parcels and 123 huntable wildlife management areas, plus 20,268 trails including 735,970 acres of the White Mountain National Forest. Trails carry their allowed use and their seasonal windows, and the private land warning fires on who owns the ground, not on what kind of trail it is.
OFFLINE, FOR REAL
The whole state's topographic base downloads once and stays. On top of that, download detail packs over any square you choose at three levels of resolution, including roughly one foot aerial imagery. Outside what you downloaded the map says so instead of pretending, and every pack shows the date it was taken.
YOUR HUNTING PARTY, LIVE
The New England deer drive is standers and drivers moving through the same woods, and knowing where everyone is is a safety feature. See your crew on the map, each with a name and color, updating live with the phone in your pocket. It is off until you turn it on, it goes only to the crew you joined, and your positions are never stored on our servers.
IN THE FIELD
Record your walk with the screen off. Drop a pin on sign and photograph it. Mark trail cameras with their view arc. Measure a distance with two fingers. A rangefinder mode that turns the map with your compass to pace off a shot in yards. Wind direction drawn over your position, because a whitetail's nose beats its eyes and ears. Sunrise and sunset for legal shooting hours, computed on the phone so it works with no signal. Hand a waypoint to another hunter's phone with a QR code and no signal at all.
WHAT NEEDS A SUBSCRIPTION
The basemap, public land, address search and the safety layers are free forever. Owner names, huntable land, trails, property lines, offline packs, waypoints, trail cameras and the tracker come with a subscription, which is managed on our website rather than in the app.

What’s new
Waypoint and camera names now draw on the map, with a setting for the zoom they appear at.
Offline Mode now stops the map reaching for data at all. On one weak bar that was the real battery drain.
A shared trail camera now arrives as a waypoint you can keep.

Fixed: party sharing kept dropping when the phone was locked, and shared links opened wrong if the app was closed.
