BTGuard VPN connects your Android device to BTGuard’s global WireGuard server network in a single tap, encrypting your internet traffic between your device and our servers. Built on the modern WireGuard® protocol for speed and reliability, BTGuard VPN is designed to be simple, lightweight, and dependable.

Permissions

• VPN — required to establish the secure tunnel.
• Notifications — to show the connection status (Android 13+ asks for permission).
• Boot completed — optional, used so the app can resume the VPN after a reboot if you choose.
• Network state — to react to network changes (Wi‑Fi/mobile transitions).
• Query installed apps — used only to power the split tunneling app picker.

Subscription & billing

BTGuard VPN subscriptions are sold and managed on btguard.com. The Android app does not sell digital goods and does not use Google Play in‑app billing.
