Costaway turns your trip planning into a personal travel ticket ledger that feels like a real travel document. Before you leave home, you can build a list of budget items like “Flight to Paris” or “Hostel deposit” with estimated costs in your local currency. The Dashboard greets you with a vintage luggage tag outline showing your total estimated budget in a bold stencil font, plus a glance at how many items are confirmed compared to the total. Right below that, you see the three most recently added budget items, so you can jump back into planning without searching. Tapping the floating action button on the Dashboard takes you directly to the Add tab, where a boarding pass slip style form lets you fill in the item name, pick a category from the dropdown, enter the estimated cost, and toggle whether the expense is confirmed. When ready, a folded paper airplane icon submits the item and adds it to your local ledger instantly. Over in the Items tab you can scroll through every budget item and search by name or category, with each entry displayed on a perforated ticket card that has a colored stripe for its category, the cost amount, and a small filled circle to signal a confirmed booking. Switch to the By Category tab to see your spending grouped by Transport, Accommodation, Food, Activities, or Other, with a clear sum of costs per category and the option to expand or collapse the items underneath. Every piece of data lives only on your device, so your travel plans stay private, work without an internet connection, and persist whenever you close the app. You can edit names, categories, and amounts at any time, and removing a budget item is just as simple. The design deliberately avoids any checkmarks and instead uses that filled dot for confirmed status, which keeps the ledger clean and distinct. Students planning a cheap vacation, solo travelers on a tight budget, and couples splitting estimated costs before booking will all find the flat ticket-paper textures and warm navy and cream palette inviting. Costaway helps you see at a glance exactly where your trip money is going and which expenses you have locked in, making pre-travel financial planning surprisingly enjoyable.
