To be honest, I want to give this app 5 stars. The work that was done to make Open Camera even more professional and useful is amazing. BUT there are things that I've been struggling with ever since I started using this app... First, the tone, color and contrast of the photos in DRO and HDR modes. When I use either of those settings, the images are unusually "flat". I need to take them all and apply Auto Tone or Auto Contrast in Photoshop to make them any good. To be fair, this is also a problem with Open Camera. I've tried changing the tone mapping settings in HedgeCam 2, the individual RGB settings, and many other settings I can't remember off hand. No luck. If I use the native camera app in HDR mode in my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra the photos are very good, with decent gamma, contrast and detail. But that app doesn't allow me to save the photos with a custom file name prefix or into a custom folder like HedgeCam does. This is important for what I need the photos for... I'm a location scout needing as much done by the app as possible (including categorizing and naming the photos). Also, the photos in HedgeCam in DRO or HDR modes are WAY over saturated in the yellows. If I take pictures in the woods with fall colors the foliage goes overly bright yellow and loses detail, making them look flat. Plus one more thing regarding DRO and HDR... wherever there are places in the photo where two distinct but somewhat similar colors meet each other (mountains touching the sky), the app creates an unacceptably harsh dark line at that junction. It's very unprofessional and distracting. If these issues could be fixed, I would gladly update my review to at least a 4 if not a 5.

I've used about 25 different camera apps over the past 15 years, and this is my favorite. The DRO setting takes outstanding looking photos. It's not my main shooter, but I use it when I want to take specific photos that require that special look that the DRO setting creates. It makes my product catalog photos pop off the page. It's a bit clunky in some ways. The menus are laid out a bit counterintuitive.

🌟🌟 So far. Need access to the flash in manual mode and access to 'shutter speed' when the flash IS enabled. The live screen is way off when working in manual; there is no way that the image should appear so dark with the ammount of light and setting combinations. I noticed that there has been no feedback to a number of legit reviews thus far. I want this app to work as it has a lot of features that would be very helpful. Thx
