About this app

Caffeinated Checkbook is a digital checkbook register for people who want to track their money themselves. It doesn't connect to your bank. It doesn't sync your transactions automatically. It doesn't sell your data or show you ads. It's a notebook that does math.

Record payments, deposits, and transfers across as many accounts as you need: checking, savings, credit cards, cash, or investments. Every transaction gets a running balance, just like a paper checkbook register. When you're ready, reconcile against your bank statement to make sure everything matches.

No account required. No internet required. Your data lives on your device in an encrypted local database that you control. Caffeinated Checkbook works completely offline and always will.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT

Caffeinated Checkbook does not connect to banks or financial institutions. It cannot move money, pay bills, or access your account credentials. It is a record-keeping tool, the digital equivalent of the paper register in your checkbook. You enter what you spent, and it keeps track.

No ads. No tracking. No data collection. Your finances are yours.

Ratings and reviews

I love this app! It does everything I need it to. Accounts are reconciled easily. Payments are searchable across all accounts. Payments from one account to another automatically appear in both accounts so no more double entry. Recurring transactions can be set up and I can choose how early they appear in the register so that I don't accidentally overspend. It does everything that I used expensive software programs for in the past. And it does it without annoying pop-ups. woohoo!

The app goes too far to the bottom of the screen and lower buttons can not be tapped because of conflict with android phone bottom menu buttons. This happens while entering transactions. Needs to scroll up more to tap save button.

I recently got a new phone and my old checkbook app was not compatible. I got this app and it's been amazing. I bought the paid version for syncing and it's more than with it.

What’s new

Fixes the running balance in the register, which could stop adding up in 1.1.7. Nothing in your accounts needs correcting. When newest entries show first, a day's latest entry is now at the top of that day.
