Every tree in the grove needs a tent — but only one, and never two tents side by side. Groveline is a calm, offline take on the classic Tents-and-Trees placement puzzle: read the clues, place your tents, and clear the grove.
HOW IT WORKS
Each puzzle starts with a scattering of fixed trees. Your job is to give every tree exactly one tent, pitched directly beside it — up, down, left, or right, never diagonally. The numbers along the top and side of the grid tell you exactly how many tents belong in that row or column. Tap any empty plot to pitch a tent; tap it again to clear it back to grass. Trees can never be moved.
The one rule that trips everyone up at first: tents can never touch, not even at a corner. Get it wrong and the plot turns red immediately, so you always know where to look.
THREE GROVES TO CLEAR
- Copse — a tidy 6x6 warm-up
- Grove — the standard 8x8 challenge
- Woodland — a sprawling 10x10 test of patience
Every grove is freshly generated, so no two sessions look the same.
WHY GROVELINE
- Genuinely offline: no ads, no accounts, no internet connection, ever
- No sound — every signal is a visual highlight or a light haptic tap
- A built-in Learn tab explains every rule and includes a "Where's the Tent?" mini-puzzle to practice on
- Best-time tracking per grove size, a running solve log, and a set of awards to chase
- A clean, distinctive forest-and-canvas look built for long, unhurried sessions
Groveline is a game of quiet logic, not luck — no scores to chase against a clock unless you want to, no pressure, just trees, tents, and a puzzle that always plays fair. Open it up, plant a grove, and see how quickly the plots fall into place.
