The old, generic app that I used to control my old refrigerator worked perfectly and did not REQUIRE exact location information. If you remove it, the app refuses to function and continues to tell you to enable location permissions. It has access to nearby devices, it does NOT need my location to function. Overall the app is a little bit more polished but I would much prefer the old app over this data harvesting one. I disabled its access to the internet though so at least that's something.

Can't create account Just got a 30A solar controller and I can't register for an account on the app because it will not send the verification code can't be sent to me. I would have never bought this if the app didn't work. Tried on two different phones and multiple emails. It wants you to have an account to view your product but it won't let you create the account.

If you have a solar controller do not expect much. You don't get a lot of detail from the app. It tells you solar voltage and that's it. No amps or watts. this is kind of dumb considering it'll show voltage when you aren't charging because you have no amps. To see that info you need to look at the controller itself which defeats the purpose of the app. Plus the percentage for the battery jumps around from 60 to 20 and back. I don't really know it the battery is full or dead half the time.
