Please be formed that Cateye SYNC lights and Cateye SYNC app do not work with HUAWEI Android smartphones because Bluetooth chip used within HUAWEI smartphones cannot communicate with Cateye SYNC lights. Cateye SYNC lights and Cateye SYNC app may also not work with devices that are not listed above. Before you purchase Cateye SYNC lights, download the Cateye SYNC app to your smartphone and then ensure it can be activated.

Reset the lights by holding power for 10 seconds. Lights will flash 10 times. Allow location and re-pair. Worked for me on Core and Kinetic 👍

Important Update: This app is fairly simple and provides some useful functionality, especially the ability to see battery levels. However, it stops connecting to your lights if you change your phone. The only way to get it to re-connect is to reset your lights. The way to do this is not at all obvious, but you can find this info in the app's FAQ. After a few attempts at following the instructions, I have got everything connected again. The app and the lights work, but beware of this reset info.

Lights synced with the app out of the box. Once I updated the firmware on my Sync devices, they would no longer connect to the app. I reinstalled the app and the app will no longer find any of my lights. The lights still sync together fine but I have no way to control them from the phone.
