MamaPulse is a simple contraction timer and contraction counter for late pregnancy and labor. Tap once when a contraction starts and again when it ends. MamaPulse logs how long each one lasted and how far apart your contractions are, so you are not counting on your fingers or scribbling notes while you breathe through them.

In labor it is hard to keep track. Was that one 40 seconds or 90? Are they getting closer together? MamaPulse keeps a running log of each one and shows your recent frequency and duration at a glance. It also compares your log with the 5-1-1 pattern – contractions about 5 minutes apart, lasting about 1 minute, for about 1 hour – a rule of thumb many care providers mention. Your doctor or midwife may give you a different rule, and their instructions always come first.

WHAT THE CONTRACTION TIMER DOES
• One-tap timer – a large start/stop dial times each one as it happens
• Frequency and duration – average length and average time apart across your most recent contractions, plus the total count
• 5-1-1 pattern check – a card on the timer screen shows whether your recent contractions follow the 5-1-1 pattern and for how long. It is information, not a diagnosis, and it does not send notifications
• Contraction history – every entry with its start time, its duration and the gap before it, newest first. Delete a mistaken entry or clear the whole log
• Share your labor log – send your full history as plain text to your midwife, doula, doctor or birth partner
• Timing works offline – the contraction tracker and your log do not need a signal or Wi-Fi

FREE, WITH ONE BANNER AD
MamaPulse is free: no in-app purchases, no subscription and no paywall. There is no sign-up wall – you can start timing right after the short intro. The app shows a Google AdMob banner ad on the timer screen. There are no full-screen ads.

YOUR DATA
Your contraction log is stored on your phone. It is not uploaded to our servers and it is not passed to the ad network. In the background the app creates an anonymous account, which you can delete at any time in Settings. The app uses Google AdMob for the banner ad and Google Firebase for sign-in, crash reports and app analytics; these services process device identifiers as described in our privacy policy.

IMPORTANT – NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
MamaPulse is a timing and note-taking tool. It is not a medical device and not medical advice. It does not diagnose labor, predict when your baby will arrive or decide when you should go to the hospital. The timer only measures your own taps, so a missed or late tap changes the numbers. Always follow the instructions your doctor or midwife gave you.
Call your doctor, midwife or hospital straight away – or your local emergency number in an emergency – if your waters break, you notice bleeding, your baby is moving less than usual, you have severe or constant pain, you have contractions before 37 weeks, or you are worried about anything, whatever the timer shows.

AFTER THE BIRTH
Once you have logged contractions, MamaPulse shows an optional card that links to our separate apps for new parents: MamaNest (feeding, diapers and growth) and SleepyAI (baby sleep coaching). Nothing from your log is shared with them.
