The Colibrio Reader is an implementation of the Colibrio Reader Framework, the most advanced development framework for building digital reading systems.

Colibrio Reader supports all of the features in EPUB3, including,

We have chosen to make this app free to all to help people that are looking for an accessible e-reader and to help promote EPUB as a format.

A note to screen reader users, the app works best when used with the Google TalkBack service. Also, for accessibility testers, please turn on TalkBack before you start the app.

Great app for reading EPUBs, uses CSS file to format books correctly and has loads of options to customize the look and feel of the books. It would be great to have extra options in the book-list section, to be able to sort them by filename, author and last read. The TTS option is good but reads a little slowly (I was using my phone); great for testing epubs to see what works and what doesn't when designing them for accessability. Having to confirm closing a book each time is annoying, though.

A refreshing new kid on the block—this ebook reader is sleek, functional, and surprisingly versatile. The customization options already make reading a joy, but imagine the possibilities if external fonts and possibly a solar theme were supported. That little touch could turn a good reader into a great one!"

I installed the app to use the media overlay feature, but the EPUB audio stops playing once the screen turns off. Please enable audio playback in the background.
