Ratings and reviews

Chargepoint is the charging app outside of Tesla Supercharger. Unfortunately, this is the same thing as being the slimmest kid at the fat camp. Charging works most of the time (about 80% of the time bases on my observations). Sometimes the charging stops for no particular reason. Sometimes the charging power (speed) drops in half, but you still pay the same rate per hour.

I've been using this app for a year and a half. It used to be my favorite but has steadily gone downhill. it gave notifications when chargers were available, then they took that away. Customer service is hard to reach, and when you do, they have such a strong accent that they're very difficult to understand. A service fee has been added, making the short charging sessions I did most no longer cost effective. Now they've completely ruined the app UI, which was great, and removed user tips.

Good phones support. Too bad that you can't get this operational without it. My initial unit was professionally installed, and after some tech support they sent a refurbished unit that needed a lot of help to get working properly. As a side pet peeve, they just updated the app and removed or deeply hid the dark mode setting. Why?!
