CruiseFi shares your Android device's internet connection through a Wi-Fi Direct hotspot and local proxy. It is ideal for cruise ships, hotels, airports, and other places where one device has internet access but standard hotspot sharing is unavailable or inconvenient.

📶 HOW IT WORKS

1. Connect the host device to Wi-Fi or cellular internet.
2. Start CruiseFi to create a Wi-Fi Direct network.
3. Join the displayed DIRECT-… network from another device or scan the Wi-Fi QR code.
4. Configure that device's proxy manually using the host and port shown in CruiseFi.

The built-in setup guide provides instructions for Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows, macOS, Chromebook, and Linux. Connection diagnostics check the selected upstream network, proxy forwarding, DNS, and internet path when troubleshooting.

📱 CLIENT SETUP

Client devices do not need CruiseFi installed, root access, or special permissions. They must join the Wi-Fi Direct network and manually enter the proxy host and port displayed by the app. Browsers and apps that support the configured HTTP proxy can then use the shared connection. Compatible apps may also use the same endpoint as a SOCKS5 proxy.

• The host Android device must support Wi-Fi Direct.

• Some apps and services ignore system proxy settings or may not work through a proxy.
• Performance depends on the host connection, device distance, and battery optimization settings.
