While the app does basic stuff, it is limited and the interface is confusing. For example, there is no easy way to tell if the heat pump is actually running, it says heating all the time. You can't press a button for heating up the water tank now, but you can on the wall unit. You can only set one hot water schedule and three heating schedules, and can't give them names. Schedules only have a fixed time slots (6 for heating, 4 for hot water) which does not work well with Octopus Cosy.

User can add only 4 entries per day to schedule water tank. If eco/comfort temp is set, it overrides manualy turning the tank on/off. Google home supports only on/off for water tank, but it can't be combined with temp settings (as above). It should also support setting the tank temperature, this would fix the problem. App doesn't properly report water temp if schedule is set. There is no way to report bugs to neither onecta or Daikin itself. Energy reports are available for only 2 past days.

Only recently started using the app for my 3 units. Frequently crashes after trying to send an operation to a unit. After several tries, i can eventually get the desired setting done but it freezes again shortly after. Could be a great organisation app and controller if it didn't crash after every click on something. Update 7/5/25 - App is definitely working better and I have become a lot more used to it's interface. Only wish is the schedules could be named to make it easier to select.
