Flashcards that decide for you when to see a card again.
Make a deck, add cards, and study. Every time you answer, the app schedules that card for the day you are most likely to be about to forget it - one day, then six, then further and further apart as it becomes easy. Cards you get wrong come straight back.
★ THE SCHEDULING IS THE POINT
• SM-2, the spaced repetition algorithm Anki's is descended from
• Four grades, and each button shows you exactly when the card returns: Again, Hard, Good, Easy
• Again really does start a card over - it does not just shorten the gap
• Cards you keep finding hard get easier to see again; cards you find easy drift out to weeks and months
• A due count you can rely on, and a session that ends cleanly when there is nothing left
★ A STUDY DAY STARTS AT 4AM
• Because people revise at night. Working through a deck at half past midnight finishes the evening you started
• Your queue never changes under you at midnight, and a card you just answered cannot reappear five minutes later
★ CSV IN AND OUT
• Import a deck from a spreadsheet: front, back, one card per row
• Export any deck back out the same way, any time, with no video to watch first
• Commas, quotation marks and line breaks inside a card are handled properly, so an answer with a comma in it stays one card
• Files from Excel open correctly, and so do files with any keyboard's digits in them
★ FINDING AND FIXING
• Search every card in every deck, by either side or by deck name
• Accents and any keyboard's digits are handled, so "resume" finds "résumé"
• Fixing a typo never resets a card's schedule
• Rename decks, edit cards, delete what you do not need - and deleting a deck tells you how many cards go with it
★ YOURS, AND ON YOUR PHONE
• Works completely offline - airplane mode changes nothing
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud, nothing uploaded
• Three permissions, all three for ads: internet, network state, advertising ID. No storage permission, no notifications, nothing running in the background
• Your decks are excluded from Android cloud backup on purpose, so they are never copied to a Google account
Because decks are kept in the app's private storage, uninstalling the app deletes them. Export anything you want to keep first - it takes one tap and there is never an ad in front of it.
★ ADS
No banner ads anywhere. There is a full-screen ad occasionally, after you finish a session and are back at the deck - never between a question and its answer, and never in the middle of studying. An optional video turns ads off for a day.
Study flashcard decks with spaced repetition. CSV import. Works fully offline.
