About this app
Gallery Cleaner is the simplest way to tidy and save you space on a phone with a cluttered photo library — without giving up control or privacy.
Every flagged photo comes with a reason to be deleted. Every deletion
is recoverable from your device trash for 30 days. Nothing is accidentally deleted.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick the folders you want us to watch — Camera, Downloads, Screenshots, messaging apps, whatever matters to you.
2. We scan them on-device and flag junk: blurry shots, near-duplicates, screenshots, QR codes, and low-quality frames.
3. Open the review grid — 15 photos with a reason chip on each. Tap once to deselect anything you want to keep.
4. Tap Delete. Photos move to your device's trash, recoverable for 30 days via Google Photos or your gallery app's Trash.
WHY PEOPLE LIKE IT
— No mystery deletes. Every flag shows why. Blurry? Duplicate? Screenshot? You see the reason before you confirm.
— Deselected photos are "kept" — we never re-suggest them.
— Counts that mean something: forever totals of photos cleaned and disk saved. No streak shaming, no daily pressure.
— 2-3 taps from open to done. The review batch is pre-computed so the grid loads instantly.
PRIVACY BY DEFAULT
— App runs on your device, NO cloud. Your photos, their paths, and your folder names never leave the phone.
— Anonymous usage analytics (app opens, deletion counts, scan time) can be disabled anytime in your device Settings → Apps → Gallery Cleaner → Storage & cache → Clear data, or by revoking Google Analytics consent through Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
— Crash reports are anonymous diagnostics only — no photo content, no file paths.
— Ad-supported via Google AdMob. Ads are non-personalised unless you opt in via your Android advertising-ID settings.
DELETION IS RECOVERABLE
Photos you delete move to your device's native trash, not ours. On Android 11 and newer that's MediaStore's trash — accessible from your gallery app's Trash or Recycle Bin for 30 days. Changed your mind? Restore them with one tap. We never keep a copy of your photo on our servers — because we don't have servers that see your photos.
