Good app, but no SD storage The app is easy to use, if a little inflexible, and the news is excellent. Marked down because it won't use the SD card for data - even if the app is moved there...
Used to be better Before the update I always could get magazine on Thursday. Thats now changed. The lay out is very stiff and cold. Used to be more inviting before the update. "Userfriendly and eyecatching". Don't take me wrong, I love the magazine, but are considering sticking with just the paper copies. On a positive note it does open quicker since the update
Improving well Good app. Space still an iasue (doesn't save downloads to SD and they're hefty files) and now starts on current article (although not reading position). A vertical list for quicker download and remove would be good.
**UPDATE 03-July-2016 ** Did give this 5 stars but when reading this morning I accidentally hit the home button. On switching back to the app it tried to verify my subscription again, even though it had only done so 2 minutes earlier! I had no signal so it couldn't verify. Now, I'm unable to use the app because it won't get past the verification screen. This is really poor UX. Surely verifying subscription once a day would be enough, not every time the app loads? And shouldn't it only do this when new content is requested? I should be able to view previously downloaded content whether my subscription is verified or not. **** I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the app having used an awful earlier attempt several years ago. This one maintains the format of the print edition, with no gimmicks and is very easy to navigate. I also like the additional features such as the daily briefing, which provides a brief synopsis of the important news each morning. As far as improvements go, it would be nice if it was possible to search across saved articles and if they synced across devices.
The quickest and easiest way to stay on the ball Living abroad as I do, The Week App is not only ideal to conveniently access the latest headlines from back home, but also manages to do so without shelling me with unwanted (and largely irrelevant) images and adverts, something most news sources cannot restrain themselves from doing. The daily quotes are a special highlight of my day! Top quality journalism is hard to come by; keep it up please (oh, and assign someone to spell check before publishing?!)
Pleasantly surprised I downloaded this app recently and have to say it's better than I expected. The index is straightforward, and navigation is smooth. I have a low tolerance of apps that showboat at the expense of clarity or ease of use, so I'm happy to report that as far as I'm concerned this app avoids such nonsense.
