Most blockers only mess with websites. This one covers a few angles:
• Network filter (VpnService) — adult sites get stopped before they open
• On-screen guard (Accessibility Service) — picks up risky text and links inside apps and browsers
• Install & browser guards — can block new apps, new browsers, and browsers we don't support
• AI Vision — looks at images on your phone; Premium can also watch the live screen
• Accountability — partner alerts, app lock, and uninstall friction if you turn those on

How Detox AI uses VpnService
Detox AI uses Android's VpnService to run a content filter on your phone. It is not a general VPN and there is no remote VPN server: the tunnel starts and ends on the device. Detox AI inspects the domain names your phone looks up, answers adult ones with a block, and forwards everything else to the resolver your phone would have used anyway. None of your traffic is routed to us, logged or stored. This powers the network-filter layer above; you turn it on during setup and can switch it off at any time.

How Detox AI uses the Accessibility Service
Detox AI uses Android's Accessibility Service to read the text and web addresses on your screen. It uses them for one purpose: recognising adult content in any app or browser so it can cover the screen and navigate you away, and noticing attempts to disable protection. Everything is matched on this phone as it happens and then discarded — nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted, and it is never used for advertising or analytics. This powers the on-screen guard, the browser and section blocking, and the tamper protection. It is optional, you grant it yourself during setup, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings ▸ Accessibility. Detox AI is not an accessibility tool and does not assist users with disabilities.

The AI stays on your phone, and so does the network filter. We aren't sending your screen, your browsing or your photos to our servers — there is no server in that path at all.

You can set how hard it hits:
• Off — protection stopped
• Basic — network filtering, simpler setup
• Advanced — more of the layers when you need them
