Easy Metronome is built for musicians of all levels. It helps you keep a steady tempo during practice or live performance. It’s precise, easy to use, and customizable to your preferences.

Music lessons feel simpler with a large visual beat display. Follow up to 16 beats, each with adjustable emphasis or silence. Enjoy precise tempo control—you can even tap the beat and let Easy Metronome follow your lead.

Teachers and experienced players can quickly select time signatures with a couple of taps and change subdivisions to explore different playing patterns.

For a tailored experience, choose from free beat sounds, or unlock additional choices—such as instrument and meditation sounds—with an optional in-app purchase. You can also personalize beat colors with themes, or match your wallpaper on Android 13+.

Group rehearsals run smoothly with the practice timer to control session length. It’s easy for everyone to follow on larger screens, with support for tablets and Chromebooks. Practicing solo? Easy Metronome is also available on your smartwatch with on-wrist control and our Wear OS tile.

Ratings and reviews

I use this mostly for stretching and not music. It's very intuitive. Importantly, it's the only one I've found that will continue with the screen off and can play along with other audio (I use Brain FM). This allows me to have my relaxing "music" playing while timing stretches (I use 6/4 time, 60 bpm with the 6th beat louder so each measure is 1/10 of a minute). The relative volume can be set in the app so the metronome is audible w/o overpowering the other audio.

love how easy the UX is on this. very easy to select tempo with option for a slider or fine tune with "+" and "-" signs. option to select the number of beats and select the volume of each beat, which allows for creation of accents on any particular beat you want, not just the "1". svery easy to select the value of the beat and time signature. great stock selection of sounds with option to purchase other sounds. absolutely the best metro one app I've used.

This metronome app is so good that it makes me notice how annoying and unintuitive every other utility app I use is. Everything you could want in a metronome app, then some amazing features on top of it that you didnt know to ask for. Like an option to CHOOSE between if it layers the beat into all your other music/audio or if it interacts with those other audio sources so only one of them plays at a time. I'd rate 6 stars if I could. Love that it's free but I would pay for this.
