WEBSITE BLOCKING USES A LOCAL VPN
Website blocking is powered by Android's VpnService: a local VPN that runs on the phone itself and checks each website lookup (DNS) against your own block list, on the device. Blocked sites simply fail to load; every other lookup passes through to your normal network unchanged. There is no remote VPN server and no browsing history is collected, stored or shared. The VPN runs only while a website rule is on - turn your website rules off and it stops immediately. Android shows a key icon while it runs.
RULES THAT MATCH YOUR ACTUAL DAY
Profiles - a set of apps on chosen days and hours. Work, Home, Weekend.
Schedules - exact dates and times.
Places - blocking that starts when you arrive and ends when you leave.
Wi-Fi - blocking tied to a network you choose.
Deep Focus - a timed session that blocks everything; strict mode can't be cancelled early.
Daily usage limits - a screen time budget per app or category, until midnight.
Rules add up instead of competing.

Invite someone you trust to keep you accountable.
- They set a daily allowance, split into chunks with a cooldown.
- Need more time? Send a request; they approve or decline from their own phone.
- Add more than one supporter - the strictest limit wins.
- Quiet hours mean they're never notified while asleep.
- They see your total minutes and requests - never your apps, messages or content - and can be removed at any time.
SILENCE THE NOISE
Any rule can quiet your phone with Do Not Disturb while it runs, then restores your settings afterwards. A rule can also hide the notifications of just the apps it blocks (notification access); their content is never stored or shared.

GETTING STARTED
1. Choose what to block - apps, websites, or the feeds inside them.
2. Choose when - profile, schedule, place, Wi-Fi, or focus session.
3. Grant the permissions the app explains on first run.
Your rules then run in the background and survive a reboot.
PRIVACY
Digital Control reads which app is in front, and - only while a website rule is on - the address in your browser's address bar. Both are matched against your own rules on the device and immediately discarded, never stored or logged. Website lookups you haven't blocked continue to your normal network resolver, exactly as they would without the app. Location is used only to run your place and Wi-Fi rules and is compared on the device. No account is needed; only the optional partner link signs in. No ads.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
Digital Control uses the AccessibilityService API for one purpose: detecting which app or web page is on screen, so a blocked one can be interrupted the moment it opens. It does not collect, store or share personal or sensitive data. Usage access only measures screen time for limits and statistics. Switch either off at any time in Android settings.
