Language difficulties can present themselves in various forms and at different times in life. During childhood, language disorders affect the learning and acquisition of fundamental linguistic skills, such as phonetics, morphology, syntax and vocabulary; these disorders can persist into adulthood, manifesting themselves with problems understanding and producing speech.
In later life, language difficulties can also result from neurological events such as stroke or head trauma, resulting in aphasia or other conditions that compromise the ability to communicate effectively.
The app represents an advanced rehabilitative and compensatory tool, designed to assist individuals with linguistic difficulties. In the rehabilitation context, the application offers a set of customizable exercises that aim to improve linguistic skills through interactive activities that stimulate comprehension and production verbal. These exercises are presented to gradually approach the difficulties, in a specific order in order to adapt to the individual needs of the patient. In the presence of more severe deficits and impairments, in which verbal abilities may be limited, the tool will adopt a compensatory value, offering children, adults and the elderly the possibility of communicating with the surrounding environment through the selection of specific modalities, suitable for this purpose. By doing so, the user, even in a condition of significant linguistic impairment, has the possibility of expressing thoughts, needs and requirements, ensuring greater adaptation to the different contexts of daily life.
