Ratings and reviews

Awful aggregator, possibly the worst: hidden charges at checkout (additional 10% service fees plus booking fees) so the prices advertised are totally misleading; impossible to amend bookings without reaching out to customer service, which turns out to be difficult to reach. So add 10% to the published fares and hope all stays as you iriginally booked.

Both the app and the website are borderline unusable. If you use this service, be sure to print out your ticket confirmation because there's no telling whether the website/app will work on the day you're supposed to travel. If there was any other service available to buy my tickets, I would've used it instead.

Direct Ferries is perfect for quick ferries. I really like Direct Ferries; it has the best user interface of any ferry booking site I've tried. It's perfect for short hops like the one I'm taking from Singapore to Batam. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because you can't book the premium options, which are especially important for overnight ferries in Asia. Otherwise, you'll end up sleeping on the floor with a hundred others in a brightly lit room.
