About this app

Discord is where you can make a home for your communities and friends. Where you can stay close and have fun over text, voice, and video chat. Whether you’re part of a school club, a gaming group, a worldwide art community, or just a handful of friends who want to spend time together, Discord makes it easy to talk every day, and hang out more often.

• Discord servers are organized into topic-based channels where you can collaborate, share, have meetings, or just talk to friends about your day without clogging up a group chat.
• Send a message directly to a friend or call them up with our voice chat feature
• Voice channels make hanging out easy. Got a free moment? Grab a seat in a voice channel so friends can see you’re around and pop in to talk without having to call. You can even watch videos together!
• Reliable tech for staying close with friends. Low-latency voice and video chat feels like you’re meeting in the same room.
• Easily talk with friends while gaming and steam roll the competition.
• Be a meme messenger with easy image sharing

• Wave hello over video, watch friends stream their games, share stories over voice calls, or gather up and have a drawing session with screen share.
• Snap a photo and turn it into your own custom emojis and share them with friends.
• Share anything from funny videos and stories to your latest group photos, and pin your favorites to remember those moments later.
• Hang out in group channels or talk privately with direct messages

This app sucks! While on FaceTime on the phone, the other person can't see me because my image turns green. For me, their image just randomly freezes. The only way to fix it is to turn on and off the video... and that sometimes doesn't even work. We have both uninstalled and installed back the app, but it's still the same. And it's not like our phone is broken either. Also, the calls just randomly get cut off, or it kicks one of us out. This has never happened on pc.. at least 🙄😒

A good app overall, but seems to have a few glitches. With a recent release, tapping a notification opens the app and starts to go in the right channel/server, but then reverts back to the last used one and I have to remember where it is. Image layout is continuing to be glitchy. Sometimes it hangs and stops updating and I have to close the app and reopen, usually several times a day. It just seems to be very bloated overall and has memory management issues.

Have used discord for years without much of an issue, performance and UI wise. With the newest update (that I wasn't allowed to keep my old version, by the way) they made the decision to ruin your muscle memory and swipe to reply instead of swipe to see the user list, a function that previously made sense considering the desktop UI. Just a poor choice you can't edit or opt out of, makes it really frustrating to keep using when they force ridiculous changes on you.
