Okay, so the app is for sure useful and works fine even with slow Internet connection - sometimes disconnecting if the net gets too slow, but still gets back to where it was really quickly. The UI is simple as well, making the app eye-friendly + easy to navigate. The only issue I've got right now is the streaming. If I ever want to watch my friends play, I have to find a wifi spot, since it automatically sets the quality to 1080/720p and that's waaay too much for a phone's net, would use tons of MB in a blink of an eye. The ability to change it to 360/480p would be really appreciated, since that's basically like 1080p on a PC.
Decent app but chat can be buggy. I primarily use this app to chat with steam friends when out of the house but its almost a given that any message sent to me without the chat app open will disappear. Often times as well during conversations i will see that someone is typing but never see a response. After rebooting the app, suddenly all their messages will appear. Decent app but could use some improvement
I would appreciate if they put more attention to the feedback on this app, and if they made all of the app's features usable (I. E. Setting a profile picture, fixing chat not being auto-updated). 25.2 Update: Still not able to set a profile picture, despite it being on the Fixed log.
It's generally a good app, but it's not perfect. My biggest complaint: there's no way to redeem Steam keys through the app. That would be a really nice feature. Also, there's an ability to remotely install games to your machine, but it doesn't even work. I'm also unsure of why emoticons can't be used in chat. Not only that, if someone sends an emote, it just shows up as text instead.
I downloaded this app for two reasons. 1. Notifications for wish list games going on sale. That works perfectly. 2. Steam Guard codes. I had Steam Guard on but never got codes, even waited half an hour one time, still never saw them. And yes, I was on the right page. I do not recommend this app for 2 factor authentication.
Wow, this app has come a long way from the last time I used it in 2015. However, even though I've disabled push notifications, I still get them. I rather have the ongoing connectivity icon instead of drop downs like Skype. See where it gets confusing? Weird how it won't accept my settings...
Fixed not being able to upload avatars and other files
Fixed some users getting broken unstyled pages which would prevent login and other actions
