I upgraded my phone (Pixel 6a to the 10a) and apparently that downgraded this app. It no longer has a search option, I can't set the background to dark mode which I prefer for reading, and instead of a well organized home page it's just a long feed. Overall it looks like a basic version that came out 5 years ago. I guess the developers haven't caught up to the latest Androids but the end result is a very basic not user friendly format with minimal features.

The "watch now" seems like it's going to take you to the news reel but it's just never ending ads. Sometimes, the news clips doesn't even play after the intro ad, it goes straight into another ad. the articles have sections missing; looks like a coding or page fitting issue but the paragraph just ends with open sentence and the next paragraph begins. It's not occasional, it's every single article, usually 2-3 paragraphs in. Too many issues to trust as a reliable option for accessing the news.

Seem to have lost the ability to view in list mode. Now I only see two headlines at a time. Things keep getting worse, videos are inconsistent at playing, however the 15 - 30 second ad (which is always the same one) seems to play every time. Five years later, and I still feel the same way. Hard to see the headlines, images are annoying, notifications don't take me to the stories. Time for a different app. Shame really, used to be the best one.
