Drone Scanner by Dronetag transforms your phone into a real-time drone detection tool, allowing you to see what’s flying nearby, monitor drone activity, and gain visibility into the skies from your pocket. You can scan drones using your mobile device or connect to a Dronetag RIDER, our dedicated drone detector with significantly greater range. RIDER can detect drones up to 5 km (3 mi) away with its default antenna and up to 10 km (6 mi) with a directional antenna.

Some phones may limit scanning functionality due to manufacturer restrictions - especially related to Wi-Fi access. This is a system limitation and not an issue with the app.

How It Works:
Remote ID is a feature that transmits identification and flight data from drones using wireless signals like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Manufacturers implement this in different ways, using various technologies. Drone Scanner captures these signals using your phone’s built-in hardware - or via the Dronetag RIDER for extended detection range and higher reliability.

Doesn't work at all for me. keeps saying all permissions denied when they are in fact allowed. doesn't detect drones that I have encountered. looks like it's in development limbo or something too since it's a beta but hasn't been updated for like a year. using on a moto play. good idea but doesn't deliver so my experience is one star. hopefully they can update the app and fix problems.

doesn't work like the legacy version worked on my old Galaxy Note 20 ultra. I was just under a government drone and it didn't detect anything.

The app didn't pick up my drone until it was 50m high. I kind of understand that since my phone doesn't have a built-in RID scanner and the signal would need to be broadcast from somewhere. I didn't like the inability to export that data, though.
