Monitaxi was designed especially for elderly users and people with reduced visual ability, so they can order a taxi with a single click — without needing to open a separate app, type a destination, or handle confusing pop-ups and menus.
Many taxi and rideshare apps (like Gett or Yango) require typing an address, navigating multiple screens, and dealing with prompts that can be difficult for elderly or visually impaired users. Monitaxi removes that barrier: destinations are pre-saved as large, simple buttons on the main screen, so ordering a ride takes just one click.
How it works:
• Frequent destinations (home, clinic, family, etc.) are set up once as big, clear buttons
• One click instantly routes the ride request to the taxi or rideshare app already installed on the phone (Gett, Yango, and others, with more providers being added)
• No typing, no address entry, no complicated screens to navigate
• Simple, accessible interface, available in Hebrew, English, and Russian
Even for users without visual difficulties, Monitaxi is simply faster. Opening Waze and navigating home normally means waiting for the app to load, scrolling through recent addresses, and selecting the right one — with Monitaxi, the same destination launches with a single click, almost instantly. Opening Moovit directly often means waiting through several seconds of ads and carefully closing each one before you can search for a route — with Monitaxi, one click sends you straight to your destination in Moovit, skipping that friction entirely.
Please note: Monitaxi is a routing tool only. Ride booking, pricing, availability, and payment are handled entirely by the third-party transport provider the request is routed to (e.g. Gett, Yango). Monitaxi does not process payments or guarantee ride availability.
Currently available for users in Israel, with plans to expand to additional markets.
