Has many bugs & crashes. Only way to reconnect has been to pull over and turn off my car. The whole app freezes not just android auto. Very dangerous. UPDATE: circumstances made me switch phones twice, you're supposed to put in your email used at the time of purchase to get a new activation key to access your premium account. I never got any emails for the new key even after contacting support. UPDATE they said support can send a key after I already wrote In my review that I tried.Theyre no help

Nevermind, they ruined it. Love this app and it's only gotten better with time. The heads up display is wonderful at night and the dash cam works as well as many stand alone products at any price, and this is free. Only minor quibbles are the overheating issue when trying to use driver assist ai, and difficulty in locating and managing recorded dashcam video (I've found it much easier to use a file explorer to manage vids than trying to do it in app).

As of 2026, I can't recommend this as a Google Maps alternative. Edit: Road closures are inaccurate and cause major routing issues when out of date. ME has no way to fix these, doesn't report them any more, and their solution is to disable the traffic layer. At that point, it just behaves about as any other navigation app based on OSM data. Not worth the subscription.
