Most important it's free, you can upgrade but it's not a necessity unlike other language apps. Taking away discussion boards was the worst they've done, they were incredibly useful. Even if they were only for premium users it would be good. User support is non-existent, I attempted to reach out to no avail. It's mostly AI created levels, at least it seems that way, which isn't necessarily a good thing. It does seem like with every course rework they add one small feature that is beneficial.

I really like the setup and the levels. I felt like I was learning something every day. But I don't like the forced competition, pressure to do it daily, and incessant notifications. Those should be optional, not mandatory. I stopped using the app altogether after it changed the picture to this ugly depressed bird picture. It made me not want to look at it at all. I'm completely turned off the app because of this.

Fantastic app designed to keep you engaged with bite-sized lessons. Learning is fun and the widget is a moody reminder to practice daily. I ended up purchasing a family plan. There are a couple of downsides. Nowhere to go for questions to understand particular word variations. The algorithm does a decent job of identifying your weak areas, but there should be a button to select items you want to save to flash cards or something so you can practice additional. Otherwise, pretty good app.
