I am really not a fan of the new system, before there were more choices to pick and practice topics you like. Now too much is mixed together, on off days where you just want to do a fast lestion you can't just hop in on a familiar topic and finish fast. All in all, this looks like a steep in the wrong direction. Really enjoyed the app before.

This new update is horrible. With the tree I at least new what the focus of my lessons were and I had the ability to go back and review specific topics. This new format makes it more confusing and takes away our ability to go back and work on specific topics. I just finished unit 205 of Spanish which is "Use future tense and talk about habits". I may have used the future tense twice in the entire unit. These new units are very poorly organized and seem more random than thought out.

Not fond of the newest update. I liked the tree progression system, and don't like the path. The option to choose between the two might be a good compromise? The quality and style of the lessons is the same but the tree was much more accurate with the what each contained, and allowed for a sort of rotating progression as opposed to a single linear path. Also, the removal of non-duolingo original stories was a while ago, but absolutely tragic!! I don't feel like the developers listen to users :(
