Amazing app, very affective. I just wish that you could continue to learn without 'hearts' so you don't have pressure to get it right without getting premium. Also, sometimes the "cheats" will give you the wrong answer. Finally, I don't like the new update with checkpoints and 51 units. I liked the different subjects and units based on skill level. The new units seem random and don't correlate. I don't know if my progress was truly save or not, because the set up is different.

I really liked being able to repeat favorite stories as well as repeat passed lessons that I still felt weak in (or because I had been absent for a time). The new structure doesn't allow for any of that now, at least for the free accounts. If we're able to repeat stories/lessons again without having to reset all the progress and my XP is again counted in team events, I'll update my rating. Still, I appreciate the ability to learn a language for free, thus the 2/5.

Pros: Languages get updated regularly, lessons are divided in a way that makes sense, and levels help introduce you to new vocabulary slowly. I love the animation, the humor, and the dark mode! Cons: It doesn't automatically scroll down to where you left off, which is a pain for long courses. There isn't a way to backtrack on a skill until you've completely mastered it. I'm halfway through learning numbers in Hawaiian and I want to redo level 1 but it wants me to move on to level 3 instead.
