I bought this PRO version (during a Black Friday sale) & it seemed a good deal, making many of the tools I use on Linux available on my phone. A week later, new release notes say the app is switching to a subscription model (for existing users too!), making things much less appealing. LACK OF DETAIL on FUTURE COST, plus not getting credit for my purchase & eliminating the features of the pro version, mean that I can't recommend purchasing at this time. It feels like BAIT-N-SWITCH.

I purchased the pro version to support the developer years ago but then was just notified that the pro version would now include ads and that a new tier of subscription would be neccesary to avoid ads. I cannot tell you how many apps I have puchased so I would not have to mess with ads, only to have the developer make you have to pay for the app again inorder to generate revenue. I decided to use this with ads, but the ads make it unbearable, which is too bad because it is a great app.

Brought the pro version last year and used it occasionally. Just found out the author changed to the subscription model. Tried contact the author 3 times to get the promotion code to turn off the ads but no reply. I expect if he ever replies after my post here he will likely to provide the same explanation (excuse) as to other buyers that he has no choice but to implement the subscription model to help his unethical practice in software development. Removing the app from my phone.
