GoBus Transit is a rural demand response public transportation system within the East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) located in Kilgore, Texas. GoBus serves all East Texas citizens including the general public, people over the age of 60, students, persons with disabilities, veterans and active military personnel, and people who are working or looking for work. GoBus provides service to a 14-county region covering the following counties: Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Panola, Rusk, Rains, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, and Smith. GoBus clients seeking an easy way to manage their trips are able to utilize the GoBus Transit application by first calling the GoBus Transit Call Center at 1-800-590-3371 to activate access. The GoBus Transit app offers a multitude of helpful tools to make scheduling trips easy, including:

Ratings and reviews

There are several significant problems as of 4/8/2026: (1) The future trips list is messed up. The next trip is displayed correctly, but all future trips after that are displayed out of order and many are shown multiple times. The future trips list on the Ecolane web site is correct. (2) The bus location icon on the map often does not appear until the bus has stopped to pick me up. Occasionally it does not appear even when I am on the bus: in the latter cases the map does show my personal icon

Your app has gone down hill on the fritz. We used to get updates of when the bus would arrive and how long a wait. We don't get that no more. Now my account wont allow me to make a booking for a trip. The navigation map doesn't even show up to input an address for pickup and dropoff. Your time slots book for either an hr ahead or an hr behind of the real time I need. I've checked for an app update and there was no updates posted. Also, I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalled-nothing.

I don't understand what is going on with this app. But for a good 2-3years this app did so great for scheduling my rides. Then spring of 2023, it suddenly stopped working, it would crash as soon as i tried to load the map. I have to uninstall the app then reinstall every time the map is used in the app. That mean at least twice for round trips, even more if there are multiple trips during that day.
