About this app

"Islamiyat" is a cultural application provided by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs & Awqaf and the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The app provides the latest updates relating to the Hijri Islamic calendar, official prayer timings, service features such as Qibla direction, the locations of mosques and Islamic centres in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to the ability to calculate Zakat and pay charitable donations.

The app provides an array of services available around the year, and others are seasonal based on Islamic occasions.

You can benefit from the following services offered within the application:

• Fa'el Khair: This service allows users wishing to provide financial charitable donations for the benefit of the insolvents and the defaulted whom judicial rulings have been issued against, with the possibility of identifying the cases the user would like to support.

• Mosques & Islamic Centres: A directory that assists in searching & locating all the Mosques and Islamic Centres in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

• Zakat & Donations: Users can calculate and pay the amount of zakat that must be paid and donate to charity projects that are run by the Zakat and Charity Fund in Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf.

• The Gregorian calendar and the Bahraini Hijri calendar according to Shariah, scientific and astronomical standards and according to the methodology of "Al Zubarah and Bahrain Calendar" which was adopted in 1783.

• Prayer Timings: Prayers timing and notifications and the Imsakya timings during Ramadan for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

• Ramadan Majalis: An inclusive directory of all the daily and weekly Majalis held all over the Kingdom of Bahrain during the month of Ramadan the directory includes all the Majalis names, contact details, timings, the ability to locate the desired Majalis, as well as search for the nearest Majlis to the user.

• Compass: Enables users to locate the Qibla direction.

• Hajj and Umrah: Official directory of the Hajj and Umrah campaign organizers in the Kingdom of Bahrain including their contact details, their office addresses, and service to inquire about the registration of pilgrims.

• Daily Moon Status: The service of determining the phases of the moon on a daily basis with pictures.

Ratings and reviews

Update: I did write my complaint to the tawasul app. A message popped up when I chose to submit it: 'We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but unfortunately the system is currently not available. Please try again later.' Old review: I used two cards to pay one belongs to the BBK bank the Visa one and one belongs to the NBB bank the Mastercard and both of them were declined even though they have more than sufficient amount to pay. Please resolve this???!! Include Benefit.

Very nice application for prayer timings and finding the mosques in the kingdom. Qibla direction check is a best feature of this application.

Application is very good ,but please make it in English version or select languages also! It would be much better! And fix the bugs off qibla sometimes it's show anywhere sometimes anywhere even i sit in masjid also!
