Jtodo is a to-do list with nothing in the way. Your tasks are a plain markdown checklist in a file you pick — on your phone, in Google Drive or Dropbox — and Jtodo is simply the quickest way to work with it.
Add a task from the bar at the bottom. Double-tap to mark it done. Long-press and drag to reorder. Tap the X to remove it. That is the whole app.
BECAUSE THE LIST IS A FILE
• Open it in any text editor, Obsidian, VS Code or a terminal — it is the standard "- [ ]" / "- [x]" checklist format.
• Put the file in a shared folder and the same list is on your Android phone and your iPhone. Nothing to sign up for.
• Headings, notes and blank lines in the file stay exactly where you left them. Jtodo only touches the checkboxes.
• Back it up like any other file. Nothing is locked inside an app.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in, no email address.
• No network permission. The app cannot send your tasks anywhere.
• No analytics, no ads, no tracking.
• Free, with no feature tiers.
