Stop Calling Me hangs up for you. The call is rejected before your phone rings, and you never even see a notification.
Filtering works on number prefixes. The ones the French regulator ARCEP reserves for telemarketing are already in the list and active from the moment you install. Nothing to set up.
WHAT YOU CAN BLOCK ON TOP OF THAT
Your own prefixes, entered as 0162, +33162, +44 or 0033. That covers anything from one exact number to an entire country code.
Numbers that hide their caller ID.
Numbers that are not in your contacts.
A switch at the top of the screen pauses filtering when you are expecting an important call.
HISTORY
Every blocked call shows up with its number, its date and the rule that stopped it. A counter shows the total since the last reset, and you can clear the list whenever you want.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
It connects to nothing. It does not even request internet permission, so it has no technical way to send anything anywhere. No ads and no trackers. There is no account to create either.
Your prefixes and your history stay on the phone. They are excluded from automatic backups, so they never travel up to your Google account.
The app is free, with no in-app purchases. If it does the job for you, the menu has a link to buy the developer a coffee.
